A 4 page paper that argues the importance of the theme of corruption of the American Dream in F.Scott Fitzgerald's novel. The writer suggests that the dichotomy created by the characterizations of Nick and the Wilsons in comparison with the lifestyles of Gatsby and the Buchanans is significant to the theme of corruption. But this same goal is also their undoing and the disparity between these characters and Nick, as well as the Wilson's creates an ironic portrayal.
